The Morris County Office of Emergency Management is reminding residents to review their flood evacuation zone ahead of forecast heavy rain through the weekend.
Check your zone: Visit ready.morriscountynj.gov or call the county information line at (973) 829-8600.
If you are in Zone A or Zone B:
Monitor NWS forecasts closely. Have a go-bag ready. Know your nearest shelter — Morris County activates shelters at Morris Hills High School (Rockaway) and Morristown High School when conditions warrant.
If you lose power: Report outages to JCP&L at 1-888-544-4877. Do not use generators indoors. Keep phones charged.
Sandbagging stations: Available at the Morris Township DPW yard (7 South Street) starting Friday 8AM while supplies last.
