We correct errors promptly and visibly. Accuracy is the only thing a small publication has to trade.
How to request a correction
Email corrections@uptrajectory.com with:
- The URL of the article
- The sentence or claim you believe is wrong
- What it should say, and why — ideally with a verifiable source
We acknowledge correction requests within one business day. Most corrections are resolved within three business days.
How we handle corrections
- Factual errors — misspellings of names, wrong dates, incorrect numbers, misattributed quotes — are corrected in the article with a dated correction note appended at the bottom of the piece.
- Substantive errors — anything that changes the meaning of the article — trigger a dated correction note at the bottom of the article and an updated headline or deck where appropriate.
- Retractions are reserved for articles whose central claim cannot be supported. Retracted pieces are clearly labeled and the original URL is preserved with a retraction notice.
What we do not do
- We do not silently edit articles after publication. Every change to a published piece is logged in a dated correction note.
- We do not remove articles to make corrections go away.
- We do not unpublish at a subject's request. Disagreements over interpretation are handled through letters or follow-up coverage, not deletion.
Right of reply
If you are the subject of an article and believe the framing is unfair, email corrections@uptrajectory.com. We will consider publishing a response from you, edited only for clarity and libel risk.
